Ben Morales Frost
“I’m particularly interested in projects where music is written early and evolves alongside story and picture across long timelines.
I bring extensive experience bridging song and score — shaping musical worlds that move fluidly between narrative underscore and performed material.”
Ben is a composer and music producer working across film, TV and large-scale immersive projects, with a growing focus on animation. At heart, it’s all about story, and how music can actually carry it, not just sit on top.
He tends to get pulled into projects where things aren’t entirely straightforward: where the music has to stretch a bit, shift shape, or live in more than one world at once. That might mean moving between score and song, or keeping a musical identity intact across a long, evolving production.
His work spans film, television, animation and immersive live experiences, with credits that include animated feature, The Land of Sometimes featuring songs by Tim Rice, Disney: The Castle, Goodbye June, Mission: Impossible, Luther and Wonka.
Ben works closely with directors, producers and editors from early development through to delivery. His writing always leans expressive and thematic, but there’s a strong practical streak running through it, the kind that keeps things moving when a project gets complex (which, more often than not, it does).
Ben is based in London and works internationally.

Profile
Ben is a composer and music producer working across film, animation and large-scale immersive projects. His work focuses on narrative clarity and musical world-building, particularly on productions where score, song and orchestral writing need to operate as a coherent whole.
Based in London, Ben is often brought in on projects that involve scale, complexity or crossover between formats. He works closely with directors and producers from early creative development through to final delivery, helping establish musical language early and supporting long timelines with clarity and consistency. His approach balances expressive, thematic writing with a practical understanding of production realities.
Ben’s recent work includes additional music, arranging and orchestration on Goodbye June, the directorial debut of Kate Winslet; song arrangements and lead orchestration on the upcoming animated feature The Land of Sometimes; and co-composition on the independent feature The Upside of Unrequited, due for release in 2026. His wider credits also include music production and orchestration for Disney’s The Castle, orchestration on Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Argylle and Luther, and additional orchestration on Wonka.
Across these projects, his writing moves comfortably between orchestral scoring, song-led material and more minimal or textural approaches, always shaped by the needs of the story rather than a fixed musical palette.
His background also includes extensive experience in live and immersive productions, with orchestration and arranging credits for arena and stage works including Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera, Starlight Express, The Wizard of Oz and Love Never Dies. This work has informed a collaborative, systems-minded approach that translates naturally to animated features and other long-form formats.
Ben records regularly at major London studios and works internationally. He is a member of BAFTA Connect, the Ivors Academy and the Society of Composers and Lyricists, and supports initiatives that promote greater equity within the industry.
“It is joyous to see a new British musical emerge into the world with such confidence and energy.”
