Ben is a multi-discipline composer, producer, orchestrator and arranger working in film, immersive events and theatre. From his studio in South East London, he creates colourful, emotional and bold music that fuses orchestral and electronic elements with strong melody and pulsing textures.

Recent high profile projects include music producer, arranger and orchestrator on Disney’s The Castle, orchestrator on Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One, Argylle and Luther (for Lorne Balfe), and additional orchestration on Wonka.

Recent composition work on screen includes Blue (feature), Beautiful Things (short), Let’s Talk About George (short), The Language of Love (Channel 4 series) The Lost City of Aztlan (short), Face2Face (feature), Back To School (Save The Children International campaign), A Beast In All But Name (short) and Post Carbon Society (dance short).

Ben’s EP of new Christmas carols, What Will This New Day Bring?, was recorded with the City of London Choir and was ClassicFM’s choral choice in December 2023.

Musical Theatre composing projects include Graham Greene’s Our Man In Havana (Watermill) and a new musical version of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (James Seabright Productions), both written with Richard Hough. Other Frost & Hough shows include Billy The Kid (NYMT) and A Christmas Carol (Wellingborough). The Billy The Kid cast album reached #2 in the iTunes Soundtrack charts.

Orchestration and arrangement credits include: The Sound of Music (International Tour – orchestral reductions); Starlight Express (Bochum, Germany & UK Tour); Now and Forever – The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Marriot Theatre, Chicago); Jesus Christ Superstar (Arena Tour, RUG – additional orchestration); The Wizard of Oz (London Palladium – additional arrangements & orchestrations); New South Bank Show Theme (Sky Arts – additional orchestration & arrangement); Diary of a Chav (Workshop – orchestration & arrangement); Big Bruvva The Musical (Edinburgh Festival Theatre & Upstairs at the Gatehouse - orchestration & arrangement); Speed Dating The Musical (Jermyn Street Theatre – transcription & arrangement).

Other credits include: Tell Me On A Sunday (St James Theatre – music preparation & supervision); The Phantom of the Opera; 25th Anniversary (Royal Albert Hall & DVD – music preparation); Love Never Dies (West End, DVD & Concept Album Recording at Abbey Road – music assistant, transcription & additional orchestration); Theme from Stephen Ward (single for Milos Karadaglic – arrangement); Sing – Diamond Jubilee Single (Gary Barlow & Andrew Lloyd Webber – music preparation and transcription). Ben began his musical career assisting Andrew Lloyd Webber for 5 years, during which he created the definitive set of scores to the entire Andrew Lloyd Webber Catalogue.

Ben has recorded at every major London recording studio, and is a proud member of BAFTA Connect, a supporting member of the Alliance for Women Film Composers, on the Media and Classical Councils at the Ivors Academy, and part of the Society of Composers and Lyricists in the US.
